Post by Puckohue »

Springtime and Rebirth
The Rebirth ceremonies of Sacred Time have concluded, marking the preservation of the cosmos, and the resurgence of life is evident throughout the world.

Various Affairs
Broar and Quatlu prioritize settling some of their loans.

Ondureen successfully persuades Warlord Alarella Doganinasdaughter to dispatch the Snakepipe Dancers to the front lines.

Afur, Erinsestra, Harold, and Broar indulge in conspicuous consumption. Additionally, Erik purchases an illuminated scroll of the Deeds of King Argrath for Yealla from Erinestra's Emporium.

Fionn, a member of the Lhankor Mhy cult, becomes a regular at The Scribbled Scroll, while Quatlu frequents The Three Suns.

Appointments
Grumbold attempts to persuade a God-talker of Issaries to resign, but his efforts go unheard.

Military appointments are made, with the notable assignment of Hundred-thane Afur as Brigade-thane of the Cavalry Brigade.

Fionn, Harold, Ondureen, and Grumbold face challenges in finding positions as Aides to Drightens, Chieftains, the Amad King, and Ladies, respectively. However, Erinestra secures the position of Aide to Queen Kenrat Korolstorsdaughter of the Locaem tribe.

Cult Promotions
Afur takes a significant step by initiating into the cult of Orlanth.

Broar was appointed Assistant Rune Lord of Chalana Arroy.

Erik, Erinestra, and Ondureen face disappointments as they are not promoted to Assistant Priest or Rune-Lord of Orlanth, Rune-Lord of Issaries, and God-talker of Babeester Gor, respectively.

However, as spring arrives, her fortune takes a turn. Two suitors, Ten-thane Grumbold and Hundred-thane Rufus, both court her with compliments and offers of a promising future. To settle the matter, they engage in a duel, adding an element of entertainment to the unfolding events.

The Duel for Daraea
Grumbold, armed with his battle axe, faced the much stronger and fitter Rufus, who was armed with a spear. Rufus seemed confident, going on the offensive from the start, while Grumbold focused on his defense.

Grumbold managed to riposte Rufus’ first lounge, inflicting the first blood. Grumbold riposted also Rufus’ second attack. Grumbold managed to take the initiative, but Rufus blocked his attack. Rufus took back the initiative and landed a definite hit, causing Grumbold to surrender.

Apparently satisfied with the attention she'd already received, Daraea turned Rufus down.

The Front
The Snakepipe Dancers were sent to do Field Operations against the Lunar forces in Tarsh. The outcome was inconclusive. The death toll was enormous, and included the majority of the officers, but Ten-thane Ondureen survived.

Hoping for a repeat of Storm Season’s victory, the Cinsina Tribal Levy was sent to lay siege to a minor Lunar settlement. This time the outcome was inconclusive. Thane Saling was promoted to Ten-thane.
