My thoughts went back to week one of last month (Late Storm). It had probably been a mistake to invite Enteth along to the ceremony at the Babeester Gor shrine. After the ceremony we walked along the street, her ashen face and white linen dress both splattered in blood from the sacrifices.

We agreed to end our relationship. My devotion to Babeester Gor was clearly going to get in the way of things. Parting is such sweet sorrow!

I returned to guard duty at the Ernalda Temple. Terdis was there. We agreed to go for a drink at Fantarn's after the relief arrived. I was looking forward to drowning my sorrows in good company.
