Ivarenna's praise of Erik Stargazer

An extract from Ivarenna's sermon during the ceremony she led at the Temple of Orlanth last month (late Fire Season) in which she praised Erik Stargazer for his valour and prowess on the field of battle (during mid Fire Season).
"I would like to commend my colleague and superior officer Erik Stargazer for his courage and leadership on the battlefield against the Lunars in defence of Kordros Island. As one example I will now cite the occasion when he issued a personal challenge against a Yanafal Tarnils Rune Lord, a Hundred Thane in the Dunstop Foot, Endelkarth by name, a man known for his cruelty during the erstwhile Lunar occupation of our beloved land of Sartar. Endelkarth accepted the challenge at once, for although cruel he is not without honour.
Night had already fallen when the two warriors circled each other with swords drawn. Endelkarth of course bore the scimitar so beloved of our Lunar foes, reminiscent as it is of the new moon that shone above the two Rune Lords as they traded blows.
Endelkarth tried to shatter Erik's mind with his twisted magic, but our hero's resolve was too strong. Erik riposted with a thunderbolt to Endelkarth's chest, downing the Lunar, now blackened and charred, albeit with the faint strands of life still within him. A sage remarked how Orlanth's father Umath had once fought a demon on that very same duelling ground.
Shocked by the defeat of their captain, the soldiers of the Dunstop Foot fled in panic. Victory was ours."
