To toast my new membership of the Colymar Cavalry and hence eligibility to be a member of the Crazy Horse, I intend to visit that club in week 2. Can I expect to see yourselves there?

I wish to thank you for your invitation to the Crazy Horse Inn during week two, which was very gracious of you and much appreciated. I regret that I will be unable to attend due to commitments that must take precedence at this time. May I recommend that you extend future invitations a couple of months in advance to allow for appropriate schedule planning. With that caveat, I would be pleased to accept your invitation in future. On a side note, may I inquire as to which Troop you belong to?

Sir,

Thanks for your kind message. I would have planned the event sooner, but I only joined our regiment last month, so I ask forgiveness for short notice. I note that Hundred Thane Afur has asked for the regiment to be at the front this coming month, so all of my plans may be moot anyway. As for my troop, I have the standing and finances to purchase the Ten Thane position of Troop F so I hope to command that fine unit next month.

Thanks for your kind message. I realise that the entire regiment may be bound for the front this month and have laid plans accordingly. My suggestion was in the form of a fallback plan. Hopefully we can meet socially in the autumn.
