Week 3

Ararg and Garoor practiced their spear skills at their respective barracks.
Assistant Priest Quatlu brought Darra to the temple of Orlanth where he led a ceremony. God-talker Julian brought Harmeleenrios to participate. Both showed conspicuous piety.
Royal Feast
Queen Inkarne hosted a royal feast this week. Drighten Erik brought Yealla and Baron Rufus brought Daraea. Barons Fionn and Torben arrived without company. Baroness Ivarenna also attended. Having recently given birth to her son Valerian she did not carouse as vehemently as others.
The Second Proposal
By morning, the rumors had spread like wildfire through Boldhome's markets and taverns. The stable boys whisper that Lady Yealla was so distraught he threw Drighten Erik’s priceless manuscript into the palace fountain. The kitchen maids insist Lady Yealla slapped him before storming out, while the guards swear she wept openly in front of the entire court.
A traveling merchant claimed Erik challenged the king to single combat over Yealla's honor, though another version had him begging Queen Inkarne to arrange a marriage contract by royal decree. The temple servants gossiped that Yealla has sworn sacred vows to remain unwed and serve Vinga as a warrior-priestess forever.
By afternoon, the tale had reached the outer settlements. Here, Erik had either sworn a blood oath never to love again or been cursed by Yealla's jealous goddess. Some said he'd already departed for Tarsh to seek his fortune in war, while others insisted he'd locked himself in his mansion, refusing all food and visitors.
The only thing everyone agreed on was that it was a spectacular rejection, and that poor Drighten Erik should have learned his lesson the first time. The bards are already composing verses about the fool who courted the unconquerable maiden twice, though they can't decide whether it's meant to be a tragedy or a comedy.
Some claimed Drighten Erik’s comment on the event was “The chase continues”.
