Boldhome Heroes

A note is sent to Ararg signed by Rufus Bronzer, warlord of Mularik's Company welcoming Ararg to Boldhome and confirming that as Erik Stargazer has recommended him, that Ararg would be welcomed into the best magical regiment - Mularik's Company.

Rufus strides in, as is his wont, orders a pint from Jorl but with a brandy chaser as well. Then he goes to his friends - raises his pint in salutation "Here's to Julian and his return" - then he raises his brandy glass, "and here's to Ondurga - a sad and terrible loss, we will rememb...

Rufus emerges from the hero quest stunned at the enormity of it all. He had never experienced the divine in such intensity and he seems to escaped with his life (barely) and some wealth. A rough calculation in his head relating to amounts owed to money lenders and friends still leaves him in deficit...

The loss of Ondurga saddens Rufus. He hasn’t sorted out what he will be doing but hopes to join in the ceremony if possible. He is still in a state of shock over the hero quest.

Rufus finally enters the Pea Pod, just as everyone of else was leaving. His formerly fine clothes are now looking a bit tired and worn - but he is in reasonably good spirits. The campaign had finished well and it is rumoured that the King might consider Rufus for further promotion amongst the ranks ...
